Goalkeeper Day Returns for Its Second Edition on December 18

After the success of its debut, Goalkeeper Day returns for its second edition on December 18th at 6:00 PM, at Campo Pedro Barrena. Organized by the José Ferreira Goalkeeper Academy, the event will once again bring together the goalkeepers from the blue-and-gold teams, promising to be another milestone in the development of these young talents.

A Special Date for Goalkeepers

This second edition coincides with the National Goalkeeper Day in Portugal, making the event even more symbolic. It’s a dual celebration that highlights the crucial role and position of goalkeepers in football, reinforcing the club’s commitment to recognizing the importance of these athletes.

Continuing an Ambitious Project

The second edition carries forward the ambitious goals set during the first: providing top-notch training, fostering the technical and mental growth of young players, and strengthening the bonds between different generations of goalkeepers in the club. José Ferreira, the mastermind behind this initiative, will once again lead the event, supported by his team of experienced coaches, including Hugo Costa, João Carola, and Hugo Tavares, alongside the senior team goalkeepers such as Bruno Bolas, Hugo Mosca, and Pedro Victor.

A New Venue and Promised Surprises

With this edition taking place at Campo Pedro Barrena, the event gains a fresh setting while maintaining its innovative and evolving spirit. Details about potential surprises or new features are yet to be revealed, but participants can expect an enriching experience.

An Opportunity to Grow and Inspire

More than just a training session, Goalkeeper Day is an opportunity to shape the future of O Elvas’ goalkeeping, solidifying the academy’s methodology as a reference in goalkeeper development. Parents, guardians, and coaches are once again invited to attend, fostering community involvement in an atmosphere of support and celebration.

With high expectations, the second edition of Goalkeeper Day, aligned with National Goalkeeper Day, promises to be another significant step in building a solid and inspiring foundation for the young blue-and-gold knights.
