This Saturday, February 1st, was a day of great achievements for the teams of O Elvas SAD. Both the first team, as well as the U-19 and U-18 squads, triumphed in their respective leagues, earning 3 important points in each competition.
First Team: Away Victory Against SB Castelo Branco
The first team of O Elvas SAD traveled to the Estádio Municipal Vale do Romeiro in Castelo Branco to play the 17th round of the Campeonato de Portugal. In a match that started with great determination, O Elvas won 0-2 against SB Castelo Branco.
The first goal came early, at 2 minutes, with Lucão scoring, assisted by Nketia Desmond. O Elvas maintained control, and close to the end, Henrique Cavalcante scored the second goal, securing the victory. The unwavering support of the fans was once again a key factor in the team’s performance, as they remain confident heading into their next challenges.
U-19: Victory in the Campeonato Nacional II Divisão
The U-19 team of O Elvas SAD hosted SU Sintrense at Campo Pedro Barrena for another match of the Campeonato Nacional U-19 II Divisão. In a balanced match, O Elvas triumphed 2-1, with both goals coming from Bernardo and Amos. The first goal came from a direct free kick, while the second was converted successfully from a penalty after a solid team play.
Despite having several opportunities to increase the lead, O Elvas showed maturity and focus to maintain their victory, moving forward confidently in the competition.
U-18: Triumph in the Taça AFP
The U-18 team also stood out, securing an important 1-3 victory against FC Crato in a Taça AFP match. O Elvas took the lead early following an own goal from the opponent, followed by a goal from Guilherme Branco. In the second half, Lucas Ventura scored the third goal, consolidating the lead, before Crato scored their only goal at the 88th minute.
With this result, the U-18 team of O Elvas advances to the next stage of the competition, demonstrating quality and determination.
