The Elvas CAD U-18 team traveled this Saturday, February 15th, to the Multiusos Pavilion in Ponte de Sor for another match in the AFP U-18 District Championship. In a well-contested game, our team displayed quality and determination, securing an important victory.

Strong Start and Opening Goal
O Elvas começou o encontro com intensidade e cedo assumiu o controlo das operações. Aos 14 minutos, Tomás Vitorino abriu o marcador com um remate de pé esquerdo dentro da área, colocando a equipa na frente e dando confiança para o restante jogo.
Até ao intervalo, a equipa manteve a organização e soube gerir a vantagem, travando as investidas do adversário e demonstrando maturidade em campo.
Second Half Filled with Drama Until the End
The second half brought more goals and moments of intensity. In the 64th minute, O Elvas extended their lead with a well-taken penalty by Gabriel Massaneiro, making it 2-0.
The opposing team responded immediately and, just two minutes later, in the 66th minute, they pulled one back, reducing the deficit to 2-1 and reigniting the match.
Despite the late pressure, O Elvas remained composed and sealed the victory in stoppage time. In the 93rd minute, Rodrigo Canhão scored the team’s third goal, securing a 3-1 win and another important triumph for the squad.
