This Saturday, February 1st, the U-18 team of O Elvas SAD traveled to Estádio Municipal do Crato to face FC Crato in a match for the AFP U-18 Cup. With a determined and efficient performance, the blue and gold team secured a 1-3 victory, advancing in the competition.
Cautious Start and Early Lead
The match began with both teams trying to impose their rhythm, but it was O Elvas who managed to break the deadlock. In the 33rd minute, an unfortunate own goal by the opposing defense put the visitors ahead. Just a minute later, Guilherme Branco extended the lead, making it 0-2 and giving the team greater confidence before halftime.
Second-Half Control and Secured Victory
With a comfortable lead, O Elvas managed the game wisely and, after making all substitutions at the 58th minute, increased their advantage. At the 60th minute, Lucas Ventura scored the third goal with a powerful left-footed strike, reinforcing the blue and gold dominance.
In the final minutes, FC Crato managed to pull one back, scoring their only goal in the 88th minute. However, O Elvas remained composed, securing the 1-3 victory and progression in the AFP U-18 Cup.
