This Saturday, February 1st, the O Elvas SAD U-19 team hosted SU Sintrense at Campo Pedro Barrena in a match for the National Championship U-19 II Division. In a balanced and competitive game, the blue and gold team managed to overcome their opponents and secured a 2-1 victory, adding three more points to their campaign.
Balanced First Half and Draw at the Interval
The game started with both teams trying to impose their rhythm, but there were not many clear-cut chances. It was SU Sintrense who opened the scoring with a shot from outside the box that found the top-left corner, leaving O Elvas’ goalkeeper with no chance.
The home side responded with a direct free-kick taken by Bernardo. The midfielder attempted to surprise the wall with a low shot, which deflected off Amos, who seized the opportunity to score successfully.
