A Paixão Azul e Ouro em cada Página

Historic Presence in the Portuguese Cup Quarterfinals Does Not Distract O Elvas from Their Focus on the Campeonato de Portugal

O Elvas SAD continues to carve a path of success, with their recent and historic qualification for the quarterfinals of the Portuguese Cup after eliminating Vitória SC. However, the club, under the leadership of Vincenzo Caci, remains fully committed to the season’s primary objective: promotion to Liga 3.

The SAD president emphasized the importance of keeping the team humble and focused. “We’ve written a chapter, but we still have the book to complete. The league is the most important of all,” stated Vincenzo Caci, who added, “It’s good to celebrate, but the structure must keep its feet on the ground. A day after the victory, we were already back to work, looking for ways to improve, such as enhancing the lighting at Patalino to ensure proper conditions for hosting the quarterfinal match at night.”

Priority on the Campeonato de Portugal

Despite their success in the Portuguese Cup, both Vincenzo Caci and SAD’s general director, Gonçalo Piçarra, emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on the Campeonato de Portugal. “The most difficult game is always the next one, and the team is already fully focused on the match against Os Marialvas,” stated Piçarra, highlighting the importance of taking it one game at a time.

With a six-point lead over second-placed Peniche, O Elvas sits at the top of Série C, showcasing a consistency that reflects the work done by the SAD since its official establishment in February 2024.

Transformation and Sustainability

Behind the scenes, the administration has been leading a true transformation of the club. From settling debts that threatened its future to modernizing the Campo Domingos Carrilho Patalino—which has once again become the stage for historic moments—the SAD’s efforts have been relentless.

The club has also invested in youth development, focusing on the Sub-19 and Sub-18 teams and building an academy designed to sustain long-term success.

Facing New Challenges

President Vincenzo Caci acknowledges that with success comes increased interest in O Elvas’ players and coaching staff. “It’s natural; it’s part of football,” he admits, emphasizing that the administration is also working to strengthen the squad and improve working conditions to ensure the club remains competitive and sustainable.

Unity and Pride for the Future

The city of Elvas takes immense pride in this moment of glory, but the club’s leadership remains focused on the future. “We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, but there’s still much more to do. The SAD’s structure has the responsibility to prepare for tomorrow,” concluded Vincenzo Caci.

With the unwavering support of its fans and the fighting spirit of the team, O Elvas continues to write new chapters of success in its history.

Força, O Elvas!
