Elvas U19 Loses to 1º de Dezembro, But Receives Encouraging Message from SAD and Coach

Today in Sintra, the U19 team of Elvas faced another defeat in the II Division of the National Championship, losing 1-0 to 1º de Dezembro after conceding a penalty in an unfortunate incident.

Despite the negative result, the team’s attitude on the field was commendable, with the young players fighting until the last minute. The group displayed unity, determination, and fighting spirit, qualities recognized by both the club’s SAD and the first team’s coach, Pedro Hipólito.

After the game, the players and coaching staff received a message of support and motivation from SAD president Vincenzo Caci and senior team coach Pedro Hipólito, encouraging the young athletes not to lose heart despite the challenges.

In their message, both highlighted the example of the senior team, which faced significant challenges last season but managed to turn the tide through hard work and perseverance. Today, the senior team leads Series C, proving that with the right mentality, any goal can be achieved.

Message from Vincenzo Caci and Pedro Hipólito:

“Dear boys, dear coaches, and technical team!
Courage, one step at a time, follow the example of the senior team and believe in your future.
Dear young knights of U19, you fought with heart, but misfortune struck us again.
A bitter defeat, sealed by a penalty, the result of an unfortunate episode. But despite the result, today’s game gave us intense emotions and the confirmation of a united and determined group. You were fantastic! I am proud of you!

A year ago, the senior team was also in a difficult situation, with only two points in the standings. Today, thanks to hard work and perseverance, they lead Series C. This is proof that with the right mentality and constant commitment, all goals are achievable.

In football, luck can be blind, and even the strongest teams sometimes face unfortunate moments. But what truly matters is the attitude on the field. The will to fight until the last second, the ability to react to adversity, these are qualities that cannot be taught, and you demonstrated them in abundance.

The technical and tactical qualities observed today are promising. The season is still long, and we are sure that positive results will come soon.

Keep your heads up! You deserve a better ranking, and we are confident that with your dedication and passion, you will achieve all your goals.”

Though facing tough times, the message is clear: keep your heads up and keep fighting. The season is long, and there is still plenty of time for a turnaround.
