The draw for the Promotion and Relegation Phase of the U-19 National Second Division for the 2024/2025 season was recently held, setting the competition’s restart date for February 22. The Relegation Phase will consist of five groups, each comprising eight teams.
Elvas CAD U-19 is part of Group D in this phase, where they will compete against the following teams:
1. Clube Oriental de Lisboa
2. Real SC
3. CS Marítimo
4. GD Samora Correia
5. CD Nacional
6. SU 1º Dezembro
7. SU Sintrense
Elvas enters this stage in second place with 16 points, which corresponds to half of the points accumulated in the first phase. Despite a strong campaign in the initial stage, the team fell short of promotion and is now focused on securing its place in the division.
The first match is scheduled for February 22 in Lisbon against Clube Oriental de Lisboa. In this phase, the top three teams from each group secure their spot in the division. Additionally, the three fourth-placed teams with the highest points across the five groups will also maintain their position in the league.
The Elvas CAD – Futebol SAD U-19 squad has displayed a competitive performance throughout the season. Recently, the team secured a crucial 2-1 victory against SU Sintrense in a match held at Campo Pedro Barrena.
